Don Foster supports Macmillan’s coffee morning

Don Foster, MP for Bath, attended the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Westminster last Friday.

Over 200,000 events were held around the UK to raise money for Macmillan. Various events took place across Bath, including at the Lansdown Club, the Bath Brewhouse, and at Coffee@Camden where a raffle was held.

Commenting, Don Foster MP said: “Unfortunately, I was unable to get to any of the events in Bath due to the recall of parliament. I managed to attend the one in Westminster though, and was pleased to support this worthy cause.”

Besides raising funds for Macmillan, MPs had the opportunity to hear about the challenges facing people living with and beyond cancer and to learn more about some of the services that Macmillan provides.

Someone who did get to some of the events in Bath was Steve Bradley, parliamentary campaigner for Bath who said: “I had a great time at Coffee@Camden taking part in the Macmillan coffee morning. Amazing cupcakes and all for a good cause!”

Having raised £20m in 2013 and over £113million to date, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the original and most successful charity fundraising event of its sort. Every donation helps to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. For more information visit
