Foster asks Bath to nominate Olympic Torch Bearers

June 21, 2023 by admin in News

MP for Bath, Don Foster has today called on Bath residents to nominate inspirational individuals from around the city to be London 2012 Olympic Torchbearers.

MP for Bath since 1992, Foster is a member of the Olympic Board responsible for planning 2012 and was previously the Liberal Democrats Spokesperson for Culture, Media and Sport.

Don Foster is extremely optimistic that the Olympic torch Relay will be visiting Bath and hopes that many local people will have the chance to carry the torch when it’s in the local area.

Anyone can nominate someone as a torch bearer but the deadline is very close. If you know someone whose life will inspire others then get on line and nominate them.

Commenting, Foster stated: “The Olympic Torch relay will be a fantastic event and I’m confident that the torch will visit Bath.”

“I know there are many Bath residents whose personal stories will inspire millions of people watching the Olympic Torch Relay. We all know someone who gives their all for the community and this is a great opportunity to give them their moment to shine”
