Job Title: Part Time Junior Caseworker

Location: Bath constituency office

Salary: £15,000 pro rata

Hours: 2-3 days a week negotiable upon candidate

Job details: We are looking for an enthusiastic caseworker to work part-time in our busy constituency office. The candidate will be required to undertake constituency casework relating to national and local issues. You will also be required to undertake general office duties.

Key tasks

• Provide advice and support to constituents on a variety of issues through liaison with Government agencies, the voluntary sector and others to resolve matters.
• Provide information, advice and support for individuals on a range of financial, health, housing and other issues.
• Liaise with the appropriate Government agencies, the voluntary sector and others to resolve matters for constituents.
• Draft correspondence

Essential criteria:

• Strong written and spoken English
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Strong communication skills and be able to work in a small team
• A broad interest in politics and current affairs
• A sympathy with aims and values of the Liberal Democrats
• Enthusiasm

Desirable criteria:

• Previous casework experience
• Good local knowledge
