Don Foster MP*

Bath’s MP Don Foster has tabled a motion in the House of Commons urging MPs to support two-time BAFTA winner Ricky Gervais’ rightful inclusion on this year’s list of BAFTA nominees, after a BBC’s clerical error led to Gervais’ omission.

Main ImageComenting, Foster said:

“While it’s a far cry from my own Bath office, Ricky Gervais’ superb series has done a huge amount to reveal the bittersweet intricacies of office politics.

“With The Office and the incomparable David Brent, Gervais has continued the excellent British tradition of creating great original comedies to reach heights worthy of Monty Python.”

“A lost memo shouldn’t deny Gervais his BAFTA comedy hatrick.”
