LOCAL ISSUES AFFECTING THE PEOPLE OF BATH

*Tour Buses

The Issue: Many residents feel that tourist buses are an environmental and noise pollutant, and are frustrated that they can access parts of the city which are closed to cars.

What Don's Done: Don has persuaded the Government to investigate a number of proposals. Find out more here.

*Post Offices

The Issue: Sub-Post Offices are closing at the rate of over 200 per year. New Government proposals to move yet more benefit payments out of Post Offices could accelerate the problem.

What Don's Done: Don has presented a petition to the responsible Government Minister and is now working with him to find new business opportunities for Post Offices. He is also campaigning against the huge amount of money which the Government takes out of the Post Offices and which could be better used to help new investment.

*And more...

Don is currently working on raising money for a variety of local charities and seeking ways to protect the long term future of the mineral water hospital.

Don is also involved with issues such as the rugby club's plans for the 'Rec', developing the Western Riverside site, proposals for the redevelopment of Southgate and hundreds of issues on behalf of individual constituents.
