Free Parcels for Troops - Foster
Having raised the matter with Ministers, Don Foster, MP for Bath, is delighted at the Government's announcement to provide a free parcel scheme for the families of British troops in Iraq.

Main ImageCommenting on the announcement made by Tony Blair in Prime Minister's
Questions yesterday, Don said,

"I'm really pleased that the government has listened to the families of our
service men and women.

"The cost of sending them parcels has been prohibitive.

"The Prime Minister admitted that due to the operational situation there
have been problems getting packages to our forces.

"However, he assured the House of Commons that as soon as the situation
allows, families will be able to send packages, that are "sensibly sized" to
their loved ones entirely free of charge."
