After learning of the sudden closure of Weston village Post Office, city MP Don Foster has written to Tim Nickolls, the Post Office Ltd Network Development Manager, to call for the service to be re-opened as quickly as possible.

Don said, “While I do not wish to speculate on why the service has been temporarily suspended, I am concerned about the elderly and vulnerable residents of Weston who now have a difficult journey to make for postal services.

“I have sought a re-assurance that the Weston branch will open as soon as possible, even if it is with a temporary sub-postmaster.”
