Bath MP Don Foster will tomorrow [Thursday] be voting against controversial plans to exclude MPs from having to disclose exactly how they have spent their second home allowance. The move has been proposed as an amendment to the Freedom of Information Act.

Don commented, “When families are having to count every penny to make sure that ends meet, it is outrageous that MPs are seeking to hide how they spend their money.

“I am opposed to any move which allows MPs to avoid being subject to a Freedom of Information request. I will always be happy to comply and make it clear to residents what I have spent my allowance on.”
