Passengers Lose Their Cool In Hot Rail Hold-Up
While the rest of the country enjoys the sun, the severely delayed passengers on the 1322 Bath Spa to Paddington, which included Bath's MP, Don Foster, found out they were not the only ones to be getting overheated. The driver reported that the rails were so hot that the train was 'under caution'.

Main ImageDon, who is also Liberal Democrat Transport Secretary, commented:

"We've seen the wrong type of snow, the wrong leaves, the right leaves but in the wrong season, too many managers on the line, and now the latest cause of train delays has finally arrived - too much heat!

"During their half hour wait passengers were initially told there were problems with the train in front, then that there were signaling problems, and finally the driver confessed the real reason was good weather!

"Our railways seem more sensitive to the weather than English cricket!"
