Don Backs NSPCC

Bath's MP, Don Foster has backed the call of the National Society for the Prevention for Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) for everyone who is in contact with children and young people - through work or voluntary activity - to complete child protection awareness training, such as the NSPCC's EduCare programme.

Don supported this call by signing a pledge board at the charity's annual parliamentary reception in the House of Commons. A number of celebrities were also present at the event and were thanked for their help in raising money for the charity by the NSPCC.

Commenting Don said,

"I'm delighted to have lent my support to the NSPCC for this excellent campaign.

"Anyone involved in working with children knows how important it is to act appropriately when approached by a child in need.

"NSPCC's courses are an excellent way to gain the confidence to act upon children's concerns; to recognise signs that a child needs help and to make an important contribution to preventing children suffering from child abuse."
