FIFA MUST SHOW THEY PUT FANS AHEAD OF CORPORATE SPONSORS - FOSTER

Commenting on the new laws banning ticket touting at this summer’s World Cup, Liberal Democrat Shadow Culture, Media and Sport Secretary, Don Foster MP said:

“Touted tickets offer a bypass to carefully laid plans that separate opposing fans and screen out known troublemakers. That’s why I’m heartened this loophole has been closed.

“Yet the best way to tackle ticket touting is to allocate more tickets to loyal fans and fewer to corporate sponsors. We need FIFA to try even harder to show that they put fans interests ahead of sponsors.”
