Support growing in fight to save Lower Weston Post Office

Further to the news that the Post Office Ltd did not take into account the Bath Western Riverside development when drawing up the Network Change Programme for Bristol and Somerset, support has been growing for Don's campaign to save Lower Weston Post Office.

Western Riverside developers Crest Nicholson backed the campaign last week stating they were anxious to support local facilities.

Commenting Don said:

"My petition to save Lower Weston Post Office has been signed by nearly 1500 people and many residents have told me they have written to the consultation process.

"I have also been contacted by a number of local businesses based in the area, including Rexon Day Consulting, who have expressed their concerns about the impact the closure of the Post Office will have on them.

"I will continue to call for Post Office Ltd to remove Lower Weston Post Office from the Area Plan Proposal List and keep it open.

"I am also urging local residents to make their voices heard and make a submission to the consultation."
