Money which would be better spent on patient care is threatened by the need to repay a debt for which Bath hospitals should have never been held responsible.
Don Foster MP

23 hospital beds are at risk across Bath and North East Somerset.

When the Bath Primary Care Trust was formed, it inherited a huge debt from the Avon Health Authority.

The PCT recently announced that it needed to make £15million of savings to balance the books.

Sweeping measures to tackle the debt could see the closure of up to 23 beds across Bath and North East Somerset, and the closure of the Keynsham clinic.
